Despite the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) threatening to sabotage President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Imo state, the president has arrived in Owerri, the state capital.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that at around 9.30 a.m., the presidential plane touched down at the Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport.

Governor Hope Uzodimma and several members of the president’s executive council greeted the president, who was dressed in Igbo traditional costume.

The president was transported to Owerri City Centre, where he is scheduled to commission various projects, after observing a guard of honor mounted by a contingent of the Nigerian Army.
