AFCON 2021: Super Eagles Beats Egypt To Win Opening Game

AFCON 2021- On Tuesday night, Nigeria opened its 2021 Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a stunning 1-0 win over Egypt.

The Super Eagles were in command against the Pharaohs, who entered the tournament as heavy favorites.

Augustine Eguavoen’s men dominated the game from the start and took the lead in the first half.

Kelechi Iheanacho took two touches before volleying the ball in after Joe Aribo’s header found him inside the box.

Nigeria had several chances to double their lead, particularly in the second half, but they now lead Group D with three points.

Sudan and Guinea-Bissau meet in the second Group D match on Tuesday.
