Abba Kyari – Wife Slumps As Court Denies Him Bail
Abba Kyari wife on Monday slumped in front of Abuja Federal High Court as he and three others were denied bail by the court
She slumped shortly after Justice Emeka Nwite denied Abba Kyari and six other persons facing drug trafficking charges bail.
The trial was then adjourned till March 26.
While armed officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, were escorting Abba Kyari and the others away from the court.
iexclusivenews reports that the middle-aged woman, wearing a black Hijab, suspected to be Abba Kyari’s wife passed out.
She collapsed shortly after trial Justice Emeka Nwite deferred ruling on applications submitted by DCP Kyari.
And six other people charged with drug trafficking to be released on bail awaiting the outcome of the case.
Some NDLEA officials and attorneys carried her and rushed her inside one of the court’s offices on the third floor.
iexclusive News Nigeria reports that she was diagnosed as asthmatic at the time of filing this report.
The NDLEA had asked the court on Monday to refuse Kyari and the other defendants bail.
It warned the court that if Kyari, who previously led the Police Intelligence Response Team, IRT, was released from detention.
He would flee the country and be unavailable for trial.
