Chelsea’s Coach, Graham Potter, Has Been Sacked
Chelsea manager Graham Potter has been fired following his team’s defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday.
The club’s official website has confirmed the news.
“Chelsea FC has announced that Graham Potter has left the club,” the club said in a statement.
“Graham has agreed to work with the Club to ensure a smooth transition.” Graham has led the club to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid.
Chelsea would like to thank Graham for all of his efforts and contributions and wish him the best of luck in the future.”
Potter has struggled to live up to expectations since joining the club from Brighton & Hove Albion in September 2022.
On Saturday, he came under intense scrutiny after the Blues were defeated 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, dropping them to 11th in the table.
In response to the defeat at Stamford Bridge, Potter stated, “I don’t like to blame anybody, I have to take responsibility.”
In response to the boos from the crowd, the former Brighton manager stated, “We can feel the pain of the supporters… I understand that when you lose at home, the emotion of the game causes people to be disappointed, frustrated, and angry.
