The Ekiti State Government announced the arrest of a security agent assigned to the Governor’s wife, Bisi Fayemi.

iexclusive News Nigeriareports that the operative was apprehended on suspicion of rape.

The event allegedly occurred in Abuja on Monday, July 5, 2021.

Olawale Fapounda, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice warned that the perpetrator would face the full force of the law.

According to the official, the case is now being investigated by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.

“The case is now being handled by the Nigeria Police Force’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID), FCT Command Headquarters,” he said.

The administration has committed to fully cooperating with the investigation team in order to ensure that justice is served.
