How Bandits ambushed Ganduje’s convoy

On Tuesday night, gunmen suspected of being bandits attacked Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje‘s convoy.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that at least three police officers were injured in the attack, which occurred while the convoy was traveling to Kano from Zamfara State, where a massive All Progressives Congress (APC) rally was conducted on Tuesday.

Ganduje was among the governors that traveled to Gusau, the capital of Zamfara, to greet Governor Bello Matawalle and important Zamfara politicians who switched to the ruling party.

This online news medium gathered that the attack was verified by Government House officials, however Ganduje was not in the vehicle when the gunman / bandits attacked.

“You know, because the venue was boisterous after the ceremony, His Excellency, Gov Ganduje, joined his friend, Governor Badaru, and they both arrived in Kano hours before the Kano convoy arrived,” a government house employee who begged not to be named stated.

Dozens of militants who had barricaded the road were claimed to have opened fire as soon as they saw the caravan.

Attempts to reach the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, were unsuccessful because phones were turned off at the time of filing this report.

After killing him, the gunmen kidnapped his son and driver.

The slain legislator was claimed to be on his way to the Kano airport with his son when they were ambushed by the terrorists.
