Johnny Depp Trial: Amber Heard Begins Testimony In Defamation Case

Johnny Depp Trial – Amber Heard has testified in the defamation action filed against her by her ex-husband, actor of Pirates of the Caribbean Johnny Depp.

iexclusivenews reports that Johnny Depp is suing Heard for $50 million (£38.2 million) for hinting in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed that he assaulted her.

He argues that her charges made it impossible for him to get movie jobs, despite the fact that she did not name him.

This online news outlet understands that In the fourth week of hearings at the court in Fairfax, Virginia, his defense team rested their case against her on Tuesday.

Judge Penney Azcarate said the case will go forward as planned, despite Heard’s legal team’s attempt to have it dismissed.

iexclusivenews Nigeria reports that Tuesday afternoon, forensic psychologist Dr. Dawn Hughes opened the defense case by contradicting much of the prior testimony regarding Heard’s mental state and touching on several of the alleged violent occurrences mentioned by other witnesses.

Wednesday morning was spent on cross-examination and redirection.

Depp’s representative described his career leading up to and following the publication of the op-ed as “catastrophic” earlier this week.

According to an expert witness, the actor might have lost a total of $40 million in profits.

Heard recalls getting Depp the turquoise-handled knife she described earlier, which she had engraved with “Hasta La Muerte,” a phrase Johnny used to repeat to her and which she felt was lovely.

On a trip to Depp’s Bahamas island, Heard claims she fell head over heals in love with him.

She recalls a lot of traveling from one film production to the next at this time.

Depp was filming The Lone Ranger in the southwest United States. She came to see one of the locations, according to Heard.

He said that he was not drinking because of a health problem. He drank a lot of tea instead.

Heard is questioned about Depp’s memory of her removing his boots as a sign of affection. She claims to have done so.

“I guess it made an impression on him. He could have taken off his own boots.”

Depp’s breakup from Vanessa Paradis was not yet public, according to Heard, and they kept their connection hidden so she wouldn’t be accused of being a homewrecker.

Nevertheless, she describes a “whirlwind romance”.

“It felt like absolute magic. He made me feel like a million bucks. We were in a bubble of secrecy. We weren’t doing normal things together. He has so many homes,” she says.

The first stop on the press tour was in Los Angeles, where they both lived.

Depp allegedly brought her up to his room under the guise of having a drink with him and the director, according to the source.

The director was unable to attend. Both of them had later ended their relationships with their respective partners.

They conversed while sipping red wine (which she says they both love). He kissed her as she walked away, just like he had done while shooting, and she kissed him back.

They proceeded on the press trip, she claims and fell in love along the way.

“It was on,” she recalls after spending a night together in her hotel room.

Heard that he hadn’t seen Depp in a while and decided to call her when the film was still in post-production.

He brought her presents such as a movie attire, rare books, and guitars.

They didn’t see each other again until the press tour for The Rum Diary in the fall of 2011, two years after they finished filming the film.

Heard alleges Depp scooped up the back of her robe with his boot one day between shoots, and she turned around and giggled.

“He kind of playfully pushed me down on this bed, sofa. Playful and flirtatious. And he said, ‘Yum’. And kind of lifted his eyebrows up like that,” she says.

Heard describes filming with Depp and a particular kissing scene. She says: “It felt like those lines were blurred. He grabbed my face, pulled me in, and kissed me.”

When Heard was cast, Depp phoned her and informed her that the role was meant to be a dream woman, and that she was just like that.

“You’re it kid. You’re what Hunter would want.”

They discussed music, literature, and poetry during a visit with Depp.

Heard claims she was not a fan of his work or of him, but she was aware of his status as one of the world’s most renowned individuals.

She says: “I knew how famous he was and I was a no-name actor and he’s twice my age and here we are getting along about obscure books and blues. I thought it was remarkable. I thought it was unusual and remarkable.”
