Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, an Islamic scholar living in Kaduna, has denied being invited, arrested, or questioned by the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to reports monitored by iexclusive News Nigeria on Vanguard,  Sheikh Gumi stated that his operations against criminals inside woods were carried out in cooperation with the government and security forces.

“No one invited me for questioning or arrest,” he said.

That is something I can categorically state.

“I went into the forest with full security—the Police, with the knowledge of the DSS, traditional rulers, and Fulani leaders—since I entered into the woodland. I never went by myself.

“During my recent live appearance on national television, I never made any disrespectful statements about the military.
