Inter Miami Crushed by Revs in Messi Debut Absence

Inter Miami were dealt a harsh reality check in their first game since the announcement that Lionel Messi would be joining the club.

iexclusivenews reports that the Herons were thrashed 3-1 by the New England Revolution on Saturday, leaving them to rock bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference.

Messi is still over a month away from making his debut for Inter Miami, and it showed in their performance against the Revolution. The Herons were outplayed from start to finish, and they were lucky to only lose by two goals.

The Revolution took the lead in the 27th minute when Carles Gil converted a penalty after DeAndre Yedlin was adjudged to have brought down Matt Polster in the box.

The Herons have now lost six games in a row, and they will need to improve dramatically if they are to challenge for a playoff spot this season.

What went wrong for Inter Miami?

There were a number of factors that contributed to Inter Miami’s defeat in the Revolution.

First, the Herons were simply outplayed by their opponents. The Revolution were more clinical in front of goal, and they created a number of chances that Inter Miami did not.

Second, Inter Miami’s defense was poor. The Herons conceded three goals from just four shots on target, and they were lucky not to concede more.

Third, Inter Miami’s midfield was overrun by the Revolution. The Herons struggled to win the ball back in midfield, and they were unable to control the tempo of the game.

What can Inter Miami do to improve?

Inter Miami needs to make a number of changes if they are to improve their performances.

First, they need to sign some new players. The Herons are currently lacking in quality in a number of areas, and they need to bring in some players who can make an impact.

Third, Inter Miami needs to improve its mentality. The Herons have been lacking in confidence this season, and they need to find a way to believe in themselves if they are to turn things around.

The arrival of Lionel Messi could be a turning point for Inter Miami

The arrival of Lionel Messi could be a turning point for Inter Miami. Messi is one of the greatest players of all time, and his presence in the squad will give the Herons a huge boost.

Messi will bring a winning mentality to the club, and he will help to raise the standards of the other players. He will also help to attract new fans to the club, and he could help to make Inter Miami a major force in MLS.

The Herons have a long way to go before they can challenge for the MLS title, but the arrival of Messi has given them a real chance of success.
