Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds Part Ways After 12 Years of Romance
(iexclusivenews) -Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds have announced their breakup after 12 years of being together.
The football legend and the TV producer have decided to end their long-term relationship and remain friends.
The couple, who had been engaged for nearly four years, shared the news on their Instagram accounts on Sunday night.
A Mutual Decision
Tracey Edmonds wrote that they have “mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared together.”
She also asked for prayers as they go through this transition and thanked their fans for their support. “We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH!” she added.
Deion Sanders commented on her post, calling her an “amazing woman” and a “true blessing” to him. He also expressed his gratitude for the times they’ve shared and the laughs they’ve had.
“You are an amazing woman and a tremendous mother. God bless u with every endeavor and every step u take. You are HER. Tracey-Mack !!!” he wrote.

Sanders and Edmonds, both 56, met in 2012 at a movie premiere party for a film she had produced, according to People.
Deion Sanders was impressed by her and asked a friend to get her business card that night.
A few months later, Sanders contacted Edmonds to pitch her his idea for the reality series “Deion’s Family Playbook.”
Tracey Edmonds initially thought she was just going to produce the show, but as they started working together, they fell in love and began dating.
Edmonds, who won a 2016 Daytime Emmy for co-hosting “Extra” with Mario Lopez and Charissa Thompson, said she never expected to date Sanders.
“I would’ve never imagined in a million years that our paths would cross and that we’d end up in a relationship together,” she said.
Deion Sanders, who is a Hall of Fame cornerback and the head coach of Boulder football team, said their relationship worked because they were both busy and independent.
“Tracey is a go-getter; she is that. I get up early, and she knows I’m up working out and I’m ready to go get it,” he said.
“It’s a blessing, but we understand each other because we’re busy in our own right.”
The couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 and shared the news on Instagram. Edmonds showed off her ring and wrote,
“Thank you for being the best and most amazing man I know! I love you with all my heart and am looking forward to our future!”
A New Chapter
The news of their breakup comes less than 24 hours before the college football transfer portal reopens.
Sanders, who is also known as Coach Prime, will enter his second year as the head coach of Boulder and will face the challenge of rebuilding the team after losing several recruits and coaches.
Deion Sanders was named Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year in 2023 despite Boulder’s 4-8 record.
He was praised for his impact on the sport and his efforts to promote social justice and racial equality.
Tracey Edmonds, who launched the production company Edmonds Entertainment Group in 1993, is also busy with her own projects.
She has produced several films and TV shows, such as “Soul Food,” “Jumping the Broom,” “Deion’s Family Playbook,” and “Games People Play.”
Tracey Edmonds is also the founder and CEO of Alright TV, a faith-based digital network.
